Weatherling is one of several products Matt Senter designs, builds, and ships end to end at Senternet. Here is the rest of the lineup, with a line on each about what it has in common with an app that draws rain on your desktop, since in a few cases the answer is genuinely nothing.
Burly
Every link, in the right browser profile.
The same menu-bar-app shape as Weatherling, solving an errand instead of a mood. Both are built to be forgotten about after the first day of use.
Comoji
Slack-style :emoji: autocomplete, everywhere on your Mac.
The closest sibling. Another small, sandboxed macOS menu bar app that sits quietly over whatever you are already doing and stays out of the way until you want it.
CommandH
Cmd+H that works on the last app, so you can finally see your desktop.
Despacer
Copy long commands from Claude Code and Codex, and paste them in one piece.
Premail
Your inbox, defended.
Shares Weatherling’s privacy position, and takes it somewhere harder: the filtering runs on your own machine, so no server ever touches the mail, the way no server ever sees your windows.
Highwire
See beyond the headlines.
The opposite end of the range from Weatherling: a news product with a server behind it, where Weatherling is a local effect whose only network requests are an optional weather lookup and optional Game Center.
StockCar
A podcast of your portfolio, not the market.
Also built on the idea that the ambient version of information beats the dashboard version: something you let run in the background rather than something you sit down and read.
Orgabot
Orchestrate the work, not just the agents.
The orchestration layer the rest of these are built through, Weatherling included. Issues become branches, reviews and releases under gates that a single developer could not run by hand.
Fix Siri
Hey Siri, do better. A sourced record of Siri failures and Apple’s promises.
BeeReady
Lifesaving skills, one game at a time.
The nonprofit in the lineup, teaching CPR and AED skills through youth sports. It is here because it is the one that matters most, not because it shares anything technical with an app that draws rain.
SeedMatrix
Every variety, every trial, one clear comparison.
The long-running one, first built in 2008 and rebuilt eighteen years later. Where Weatherling is a few weeks of rendering work, this is millions of trial data points and a decade of domain knowledge.
